Occupational Therapy Assistant / Wheelchair Technical Assistant
We are seeking a talented and highly skilled individual to assist the wheelchair therapy team to maintain a high standard of patient care by undertaking delegated interventions with patients and administrative duties to support the functioning of the department.
The post holder will be expected to ensure a systematic and co-ordinated approach to clinical wheelchair management exists in relation to the services functions and products. This includes clinical evaluation of products, clinical audits of service functions/processes, clinically related quality assurance and performance management, learning and development and clinical health and safety related matters.
We are looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly. Good written, computer, organisational and time management skills are essential. The work requires fitness to assist in manual handling of patients. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge of wheelchair therapy and evidence of providing support to people with healthcare difficulties.
