Pamela is retired from active medical practice, having worked in both rehabilitation medicine, care of the elderly, and more recently as a medical advisor.  She has been a member of, and had a great interest in, PMG for many years, liaising between PMG and the Scottish Posture & Mobility Network (SPMN) prior to the merging of the two groups in 2012.

As the last treasurer of SPMN, Pamela managed the financial amalgamation of the two organisations, and became treasurer of PMG in 2013. 

Susan has a BA in Physics and an MSc in Information Technology (Medical Physics) and is currently Head of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Aids to Living (REAL) Unit at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne. She is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist and registered Clinical Scientist. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a clinical bioengineer in rehabilitation engineering service delivery, covering posture and mobility, gait analysis, augmentative and alternative communication, assistive technology, and prosthetics & orthotics. In addition, she has participated in a number of research projects, publishing over 25 peer-reviewed articles.

Susan is chair of the PMG Research committee and became a trustee of PMG at the 2017 Annual General Meeting in Cardiff.

Having qualified from St Andrews School of Occupational Therapy in 1993, Susan spent the next few years in the field of neurological rehabilitation. She joined the West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre (WestMARC) in 1997, as the first occupational therapist for the wheelchair service, and is currently the therapy manager for the service.

Susan became a PMG trustee in 2014 and is a member of the Conference, Education & Communications Committee, which she also represents on the Executive Committee.

Nathan trained at the Oxford Centre for Enablement and qualified and registered as a Clinical Scientist in 2016, specialising in Clinical Engineering. He has an MEng and MSc in Biomedical Engineering, and an MSc in Clinical Science. He is currently the service manager and clinical lead at the Milton Keynes Wheelchair Service.

Nathan has worked filming the PMG conferences since 2014 and was elected onto the Conference, Education & Communications committee in July 2017. He joined the Executive Committee as interim vice-chair in October 2017.

Lorna has an MEng in Medical Engineering, and an MSc in Clinical Engineering. She has over 10 years of experience in rehabilitation engineering, working in posture & mobility and functional electrical stimulation.  Lorna is a Consultant Clinical Scientist and Chartered Engineer, and is currently head of the Rehabilitation Engineering Unit at Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board in Swansea. Alongside clinical service delivery, she has been active in research and development, and has particular interests in digital seating, and innovations in pressure ulcer care. She completed her PhD at Swansea University in 2014.

Lorna has been a member of the PMG Research committee since 2013, and joined the Executive Committee as a trustee in October 2017.
