The wheelchair therapist will work as part of a team alongside experienced therapists to provide specialist assessments for service users of all ages for postural seating, pressure mapping and provision of wheelchairs.

The team covers assessment and provision in a dedicated wheelchair clinic and there will be a requirement to complete assessment in other environments such as the persons home, hospitals, hospices and HMP establishments. Wakefield council is committed to staff development and training and supervision and support will be provided by senior staff.
